For Businesses
Practical support for small and medium sized businesses.
Occupational Balance Consulting provides practical occupational therapy advice for businesses who need support when health, disability, neurodivergence or long term conditions are affecting work.
Many small and medium sized businesses do not have in house occupational health support. Managers may be trying to support an employee but feel unsure what is reasonable, what is practical, or how to balance the needs of the individual with the needs of the business.
I can help when an employee is experiencing sickness absence, reduced stamina, pain, fatigue, anxiety, stress, burnout, menopause related symptoms, neurodivergent needs, cognitive overload, physical injury or difficulty returning to work.
An occupational therapy assessment can help identify what the employee is finding difficult, how their health is affecting work tasks, whether the difficulty is temporary, fluctuating or longer term, and what adjustments may help.
Recommendations may include advice about duties, workload, equipment, communication, working patterns, phased return planning, environmental changes and review of adjustments over time.
The aim is to give businesses clear, realistic and proportionate advice so they can support employees with confidence and reduce avoidable work related strain.
