Neurodiversity and Cognitive Support

At Occupational Balance Consulting, I provide practical occupational therapy assessments and workplace advice for businesses, HR teams, line managers and occupational health providers.

I help employers understand how health, disability, injury, neurodivergence, fatigue, pain or stress may be affecting an employee’s ability to work. My assessments focus on what the person needs to do in their role, what is getting in the way, and what practical adjustments may help.

I can complete workplace assessments that analyse the interaction between the person, their working environment and the occupations or tasks they are required to carry out. This helps to provide insight into performance limitations, functional barriers and opportunities for the individual employee to work more safely, confidently and effectively.

Where appropriate, I can also complete a range of cognitive and functional assessments to better understand attention, memory, processing speed, organisation, planning, executive functioning and other factors that may be affecting work performance. This can help identify neurodivergent traits and specific areas of difficulty, while keeping the focus on practical workplace support rather than diagnosis.

My aim is to give managers clear, realistic recommendations so they can make informed decisions, support their employee appropriately and reduce avoidable work related strain.
